Past Presents is a beautiful story of love and loss around the holidays. It follows a widow who’s enduring the loss of her husband and facing her first Christmas without him. Every decoration, gathering, and song brings back memories of her beloved husband.

This short film was written and directed by my dear friend Jessalyn Whitaker! She asked me to produce the project in May of 2024, and we worked all summer prepping and planning for the film to go into production in September of that year. Together, we assembled an amazing crew and cast to bring this project to life.
For many of us, this thesis film is a passion project and a labor of love. As the producer, I worked alongside Jessalyn, Kate Gordon (DP, Colorist, & Composer), and Alex Mann (1st AD & Editor), for many hours to iron out the schedule, budget, and visuals of the film.

Currently, our film has been going through the post-production process. Our DP and Colorist, Kate Gordon, has been spending countless hours in coloring suites going through multiple passes of coloring, correcting the final edit, and preparing to reach our next big deadline.
The film will make its first friends and family debut at an end-of-the-year showcase at Liberty University.
